Red deer, wolves, eagle owls, garden dormice, and many more—a total of 21 different native species can be admired and experienced at the Edersee Wildlife Park, a facility of the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park.
One highlight is the flight show at the Edersee Raptor Center. Against the backdrop of Lake Edersee, with its dam and Waldeck Castle, falcons, kites, and buzzards perform spectacular flight maneuvers. The Greifenwarte Edersee flight show takes place daily from March through October (except Mondays) at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The residents of the Wildlife Park can be observed in every season. The 2.5-kilometer loop trail through the Wildlife Park is suitable for people in wheelchairs and families with strollers.
Less experienced wheelchair users or people with mobility impairments or who have difficulty walking can borrow an electric scooter free of charge at the BuchenHaus. This allows them to independently explore the Edersee Wildlife Park. Reservations are recommended.
Please note that dogs are not permitted in any of our facilities. At the Edersee Wildlife Park, dog kennels are available free of charge near the entrance. Feel free to ask the ticket office staff.
Last admission: One hour before closing time
