The Waldsee Forest House was built on Waldsee at the beginning of the 20th century. At the beach resort—as it was called back then—there was a growing demand for coffee, cake, and other beverages and meals.
Thus, the café began operating in the Forsthaus as early as 1936. Over time, the offerings expanded to include a full-service restaurant with a small hotel.
